Personal Branding and Your Empowerment GPA

Millennials  You're coming of age when you'll be the primary spenders of society. You're normally entrepreneurial in nature and very ambitious about your career and what you want to accomplish in life.  However, as  Sean Covey stated "We're often so busy climbing the ladder of success that we never take time to see if our ladder is leaning against the right wall. Having no end in mind is a problem". For you to have a strong personal brand and to be effective, you'll need to ensure you've taken the time out to understand where you want to go in life and lean your ladders against the "success wall" that will take you there.  Authors Michael Holgate and Conroy B Wilson believed that alot of millennials are "going through the school system and not realising how they want to show up in the world. Story Marketing

Once upon a time, there was buying and selling. People's focus was on making a profit, in fact, it still is. Now what is most amusing is that during this process of building profitable relationships, the marketer/sales rep/...

Tips on how to sell

Selling can be a very challenging task for millennials who have little to no clue how it is to be done effectively. Alot of time, they may think they have won whenever goods and/or services are exchange for money but this is not neccessarily the case. Unless the sale transaction creates value to both parties, then dispite the exchange of money for goods and services, no party to the transaction really won. Below are my tips on how to sell. 1) Approach - This is the greeting or first interaction the buyer has with the seller. It is very important to have an upbeat tone and an "I can help you with that" attitude. This set the tone for the conversation that will follow.  Key take away : How you present yourself, your product and/ or service is very important. 2) Discovery - Before attempting to sell the customer, ensure you truly understand their needs and wants, this will help you later on when you're presenting the best reccomendation to create value for t...

Have you ever thought of yourself as a personal brand? Why is branding even important? Well to start, let me try to explain what is branding and why you should consider your self as a brand. Branding really is the emotional reaction you get when you hear or think about anything or anyone. This emotional reaction will distinguish you from the crowd and set you on your path to achieve greatness. Weather or not you like it, you're already a brand and you can choose to manage it effectively and reap the rewards or you can continue to play around the way you use to and get the same results. I am assuming you will choose the former rather than the latter because you're a leader and leaders "LEAD".  Here are three reasons youth leaders should consider personal branding. 1) It forces you to create your very own value system -   Personal branding starts with knowing who you are internally (what you stand for) and what you want to be known for.  By understanding w...
