Millennials You're coming of age when you'll be the primary spenders of society. You're normally entrepreneurial in nature and very ambitious about your career and what you want to accomplish in life. However, as Sean Covey stated "We're often so busy climbing the ladder of success that we never take time to see if our ladder is leaning against the right wall. Having no end in mind is a problem". For you to have a strong personal brand and to be effective, you'll need to ensure you've taken the time out to understand where you want to go in life and lean your ladders against the "success wall" that will take you there.
Authors Michael Holgate and Conroy B Wilson believed that alot of millennials are "going through the school system and not realising how they want to show up in the world. They get high GPA's but they aren't particularly empowered". While doing job interviews for college graduates with high GPA's, they realised that "Disempowerment" among millenials is epidemic, so they decided to create YOUR EMPOWERMENT GPA . This is a system that uses powerful and effective empowerment techniques to help people rid themselves of the limiting situations and circumstances that potentially control their lives. This system includes the "YOUR EMPOWERMENT GPA" book, course and workshop which are personal and professional development training tools.
The "GPA" in "YOUR EMPOWERMENT GPA"
This represents your Grounding, Platform and Audience. Grounding is your belief system and the mechanisms (including people or institutions) that keep you in alignment with your life’s purpose. Grounding is the base in which you make wise decisions. Platform is the way you choose to live out your belief system and contribute to the world. This includes your talents, gifts, passion, interests, skills and abilities. Audience is where you give the most energy and attention in any given situation. Your Audience is the person or place that helps you create the best possible "YOU".
Once you fully develop YOUR EMPOWERMENT GPA, then your personal branding efforts will be more effective and focused. Your success ladder will be placed on the right wall, so you can spend your most productive time developing your " Platform".
