The internet with the help of word of mouth have facilitated many viral videos, images and phenomenon worldwide and it is no surprise that Jamaica happens to have its fair share of viral trends. Most of these phenomena have taken us by surprise, they are so remarkable, it had to spread throughout the population. Legendary marketer Seth Godin refers to things of these nature as an Idea Virus. In the age where factories dominate and capitalism is the order of the day, many business owners use hope marketing to attract clients. There was no system or process to attract new clients, they just go with the flow since they have little to no serious competition. Demand was high or at least consistent for great products or service. With little to no choice on the client's end, marketers didn't really need to go above and beyond to develop a system for their marketing efforts.
